New Kid On The Block

Well, world, I wanted to be a blogger too, so now, thanks to my genius husband's help, I have officially joined the world of blogdom! This is completely new to me, so I will beg your patience beforehand as I try to come up with a few gems to peak your interest and keep ya coming back to visit.

About My Writing

I have mainly written romance novels, because as people who are close to me know, I am a complete romantic, but I've recently began to dabble in fantasy. I know, I know, that's quite a switch, but when you've got kids sitting around your house reading fantasy and except for one, they don't even venture to read or even open their mom's books, it's time to change things up a bit. That's not really the reason, though. Truthfully, I had a story inside my head and heart that was just dying to get out, so I let it out.

The Journey

The Journey
is my new YA fantasy novel that will be out in July of this year. It was pretty fun to write and it was definitely a labor of love. It is a story about choices and how they can affect us and those around us. The story shares an absolute truth-that every choice made affects something or someone, and has a consequence. I hope that readers young and old will love this book and its sequel as much as I do.

Thought For The Week

I am a pretty positive thinker, therefore my weekly thoughts are going to always be . . . well, positive.
Like everyone, I have my down moments, but I try not to stay that way for long. Oh, believe me, it's like going through an emotional wrestling session during those moments, but those matches can be conquered. Each time that happens for me, I call those my "Queen of the World" moments, and I mark another tally on my "wins" chart and mentally shout, "Yeah!" Can't do that out loud, though. My kids think I'm spastic enough.
Here's an affirmation for ya to chew on and ingest. It is one of my absolute favorites:

"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions."

Mr Einstein said that, and he was absolutely right. If you can dream it, you can achieve it.
Have a great week!

Jewel,
Hurray for you! Good to see you out here. You'll make a great blogger!

(In case you're wondering who I am ... I'm the one who volunteered to pass out your handouts in the class you and Marsha did together at the Storymakers' Conference. :o)

Hey Jewel,

I thought I'd be here much sooner than I am, welcoming you to the blogosphere, but if I thought March was crazy busy, I didn't have any idea that April would be crowding it right behind!

Anyway, welcome!
